Community Move-In Day!
WE NEED YOUR HELP for our "Community Move-In Day” welcoming 2 families from Ukraine in our area who are moving into long term housing this Thursday, December 8th in DeWitt and Grand Mound!!
THURSDAY, Dec. 8th:
10:00-11:30am at the Zakharchenko Family Home, 1316 8th Ave, DeWitt, Iowa
11:30-1:00pm at the Hedzhymanova Family Home, 805 Smith Street, Grand Mound, Iowa
Our hope is to help families furnish their homes and cover the first few months of rent and expenses, while offering a warm welcome to our communities!! The families are in need of most home furnishings including: home goods, kitchen items, dressers, night stands, couches, kitchen tables and chairs, and pantry items. We are asking community members bring any donated items to one or both of the homes, and or offer helping hands on move-in day! Monetary donations will also be accepted on our website to help cover initial expenses and utilities. Hot coffee and sweets will be offered!
If you cannot attend, but have something to gift, please reach out directly and we will try to coordinate pick up!
Come out, even to just offer a warm welcome, as we celebrate these families!! Thank you for your kindness and support, and we hope to see you there!
